Young Performers Competition
As part of our commitment to live music we want to find the best young performers musical act to play on the main stage at Evolve 08. Anyone between the ages of 11 - 18 can enter and play before our panel of Judges.
These performers will be narrowed down to six finalists who will play in an eliminator at the Corn Exchange, Dorchester on Thursday 29th May starting at 7pm.
The first winning act will have the amazing opportunity to perform their chosen pieces on the main stage at the festival Just before Pronghorn, kicking off Saturday evening's entertainment.
In addition, the winning act will have the opportunity to spend the day in a recording studio to produce a demo CD.Plus they will get to play on stage at Dorchester Carnival on 21st June from 10am - 10.30am south street Dorchester.
Two runners up will be given slots on the small stage at Evolve to perform on.
There will also be opportunities for some of the bands to play at Evolve promotional days which will be announced over the coming weeks, as a result of the Thomas Hardye Competition we can announce that Ballistic will be offered a slot on the Evolve Stage at Beach Live on 11th July.
Admission to watch the final of the young perfrmers competition will be Free so please come along and support these Young Musicians. .
The Initial stage of the competition was held at Thomas Hardye School on 6th May.

The second round of the competition was held at Budmouth Technology College, Weymouth on Tuesday 13th May
